Christmas Card #2

This is my second Christmas card this year.  It's fairly plain and simple but I think it turned out well.  The image is a peel-off sticker on acetate coloured in using glaze pens.  The most difficult thing was cutting out the oval to the correct size as it's an odd size and does not match the sizes of any nestabilties etc.  I  used the Cuttle bug snowflake embossing folder.  The background on the  SU Night of Navy.  The sentiment is from SU Christ is Born stamped in Encore Gold ink.  I also used white stickles on the snow to add a bit of glitter.  Enjoy!

PPC - CC Sketch Challenge #1 and Curtain Call 56

I made this card for friends who are going through tough times in their family using the sketch from Picture Perfect Creations http://ppc-challenges.blogspot.com/2010/11/ppc-cc-new-specialty-challenge-sketch.html and colours from Curtain Call 56 http://stampinwithstacey.blogspot.com/2010/11/curtain-call-color-challenge-act-56.html.  Other supplies I used were the polka dot Cuttlebug embossing folder, SU Finial Press embossing folder, SU 3 flower punch (retired), 1/8th inch circle punch for flower centres.  I also used SU Crystal Effects on the center of the flowers.  Enjoy!

PPC-CC #38

This is my first Christmas card this year made for colour challenge #38 from Perfect Picture Creations http://ppc-challenges.blogspot.com/2010/11/ppc-cc-38.html.  I like making Christmas cards that do not use the typical Christmas colours.  The stamps are from SU Season of Joy.  I used the Swirled Cuttlebug embossing folder and the Glitter glue that my friend, Connie brought me from the States the last time she went down.  Thanks, Connie!  The sentiment is punched using the SU small oval and scalloped oval punches.  Enjoy!

Catalogue CASE

This is a CASE from the new catalogue page 17 with a few minor changes.  I wanted to try out my new bird punch and liked this card. I needed a birthday card for a male so I didn't want to stamp flowers in the background. I used the Elegant Lines embossing folder instead.  I like the result.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from SU Vintage Labels.  Enjoy!

Curtain Call 55

I really liked the colours in this colour challenge. The inspiration for the card came from Paula Curtis' 3x5 notebook on Splitcoast http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1817775?&cat=16116. Thanks! The supplies used other than paper and ink were SU chocolate chip ruffled ribbon from the Flirty set, blender pens, Top Note big shot die cut, leaf Sizzix die cut and a little bit of SU Dazzling Diamonds glitter to add bling to the middle of the flower. Enjoy!

PPC-CC 37 and MOJO163

I struggled with this colour combination but now that it’s done, I think it turned out not too bad. The stamp set is SU Echoes of Kindness and the sentiment is a $1.50 clear stamp set from Michaels. Ribbon was SU grey taffeta and the dry embossed background is from the Cuttlebug With Gratitude set. I used SU Pretty in Pink, Really Rust and Certainly Celery ink and the Happy Birthday is stamped in Versamark. Thanks for the inspiration. Enjoy!
